What is Hanwoo?

Hanwoo (한우 in Korean, also Hanu, Han-U) is a word for Korean beef! It is a very famous and popular Korean food ingredient, but it is also very expense! It is probably most comparable to the way people prize Kobe (Japanese cattle).

Many Koreans prefer Hanwoo because it is fresher and of higher quality. It is used in traditional food, and its high price means it is something that is not enjoyed every day!

Your visit to Korea will not be complete without trying Hanwoo! And this special includes the top Korean restaurants for their grilled Hanwoo Sirloin!

All these restaurants are beloved by Koreans, so you won’t go wrong with a single one!

A “culture” of this store is to give their customers small and large portions of meat together in order to reach the 200g weight guarantee every time. Also while most butchery restaurants charge extra to eat in house, this place is “free of charge”. Two thumbs up for the seaweed soup and steamed egg!
